Have you thought of becoming a substitute teacher, yet are lacking a WA State teaching credential? No problem! Bethel School District is looking for people who want to make a difference and are excited about joining Team Bethel as Emergency Substitute Teachers during the 2016/17 school year.
Minimum criteria to apply:
Current substitute daily rates: full day $140 / half day $70
With our District’s support, you can apply to obtain your Emergency Substitute Teaching certificate through the State of Washington. This on-call teaching position organizes and implements lesson plans during a teacher’s absence to provide valuable learning experiences for students.
Prior to your first substituting assignment, the District will provide a full day of paid group training to new emergency substitute guest teachers. The training is designed to benefit you in being successful in the areas of classroom management, lesson plan implementation, school and district procedures, educator professionalism and standards of conduct, and legal issues. Administrative Interns with an educational background will facilitate the class in partnership with Human Resources.
