Immunization Clinic
Parents are encouraged to bring their children to the Bethel Family Center to be immunized on the fourth Wednesday of every month from 1:30-3:30 p.m. This service, sponsored by Good Samaritan Health Care, is free. No appointment is necessary.

Dental Services
A Mobile Dental Van, from Metropolitan Development Council Center, visits the Family Center to provide a variety of dental services to individuals in transition. For scheduling information, call 253-691-7596.
Food Assistance & Outreach Services
- Food Assistance: The Bethel Family Center offers On-Line “Food Stamp” applications for your convenience. If you are interested, please call Jill Palmer at 253-683-6850 for an appointment.
- Outreach Services: Basic Health and/or other services are available through DSHS. For more information please contact Jill Palmer at 253-683-6850 to set up an appointment with the appropriate outreach worker.
- Emergency Food Bank: Non-perishable food items are available on a limited basis. Donations are gladly accepted.
- Homeless Youth Services: The Bethel Family Center can help homeless youth connect with resources. A Drop-in Center, offering housing and services for youth in transition, will be opening soon in Spanaway. For information call Deborah Cozzetti at (253) 209-5216.
Family Support Services
- HopeSparks/Healthy Families Program: Provides parent education and support to pregnant parents and families with children, 0 to 5 years. Services are designed to promote healthy development and family stability.
- Good Samaritan Behavioral Healthcare/Readiness to Learn: Readiness to Learn is one of 27 projects statewide that provides support services to families with pre-K-12 children. Family support services include helping families develop problem-solving skills, linking them with resources and encouraging ways to support their children in school. Our outcome-based evaluation shows family support services help improve attendance, behavior and academic success.
- Good Samaritan WIC: WIC is a supplemental nutritional program for women, infants and children. It provides milk, cereal, eggs, peanut butter, infant formulas and other nutritional foods. The WIC program also provides nutrition education, breastfeeding support, health assessments and referrals. To learn more, call 253-846-8234 or 1-800-322-2588.
Classes for Adults
- Become a Loving & Logic Parent: The Bethel Family Center offers “Becoming a Love & Logic Parent” throughout the year. Participants attend 1½ hour classes in a five-week series from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. A light meal is provided from 5:30 to 6:00 p.m. Childcare is provided for ages 2–12. There is no cost for the classes. To register, call Jill Palmer at 683-6850.“Parenting Teens with Love & Logic,” a four- week series, is offered for parents of teenagers. A light meal is provided. Childcare is also available.
