Family Support Services

  • HopeSparks/Healthy Families Program:
Provides parent education and support to pregnant parents and families with children, 0 to 5 years. Services are designed to promote healthy development and family stability.
  • Good Samaritan Behavioral Healthcare/Readiness to Learn:
Readiness to Learn is one of 27 projects statewide that provides support services to families with pre-K-12 children. Family support services include helping families develop problem-solving skills, linking them with resources and encouraging ways to support their children in school. Our outcome-based evaluation shows family support services help improve attendance, behavior and academic success.
  • Good Samaritan WIC:
WIC is a supplemental nutritional program for women, infants and children. It provides milk, cereal, eggs, peanut butter, infant formulas and other nutritional foods.  The WIC program also provides nutrition education, breastfeeding support, health assessments and referrals.  To learn more, call 253-846-8234 or 1-800-322-2588.
