Students Win PTA Art Contest

Every year, the Washington State Parent Teacher Associations and local school PTAs encourage students to focus their creative talents on a common theme. For this year’s Reflection’s program, students were are asked to create original artwork that exemplified the theme, “Beauty is…” Congratulations to the following 2009-10 Bethel Area Council PTA winners: Visual Arts: Janayla Kemp, SM; Ann Antanavage, TE; Destine Daheim, TE; Julie Ham, TE; Shelby Poore, TE; Porter Kreier, PV; Faith Rhodes, KE; Colette Rigby, KE; Madison Minihan, EP; Khalvyn Stillwell, EP; Megan Begnaud, EP Photography: Grace Jordan, KE; Hayley Walkinshaw, KE; Bronte Wetherington, EP Kareina Trevino, EP; Melina Sergent, EP Courtney Campbell, EP; Mia Drivas, EP; Gillian Larter, SM Music: Shane Levesque, SM Literature: Tess Smith, CJH; Emily Powell, NT; Zack Druzianich, KE Choreography/Dance: Brianna Penrose, SM Many of these students will now compete at the State level. Entries in the Reflections contest are judged on creative ability and interpretation of the theme.
