Students in Graham-Kapowsin High School's Renaissance class recently held a fundraiser for Breast Cancer Awareness & Research at the Safeway store in Graham. The students helped with craft and bake sales, root beer floats, hot chocolate and hot cider. Some even got in "the cage" to help raise money. The Graham community demonstrated strong support for the project by helping the class raise $1045.00 in six hours.

GKHS has had groups at the Safeway store helping with this charity fundraiser since the school opened in 2005.

Renaissance is a class at Graham-Kapowsin High School that supports academic achievement and community service projects. Students who volunteered for this event include: Chelsea Kuhn, Aurora Vasquez, Cole Blume, Grant Schwallie, Chris Videto, Nyna Cortez, Ember Woolwine, Kylia Horton, Zac Pitchford, Sara Craig, Tabby Yu, Zach Ortega, Shelby Woodson, Bre Mabone, Justin Niesen, Tori Dains, Katie Fiala, Jesse Kuwik and Taylor Nelson.
