Dance is offered at Elk Plain School of Choice where Carla Barragan is the dance specialist.  As a dance educator, Ms. Barragan works with other arts specialists and classroom teachers to integrate creative movement and a variety of dance styles into performances while using the Washington State Dance Learning Standards. 

At the secondary level, students participate in dance teams, performing throughout the Puget Sound region at athletic events, school assemblies and parades. Students may also enroll in aerobics classes. These classes increase aerobic capacity, build strength, create flexibility and improve coordination.
