Music

By participating in music classes and performances our students are becoming artistically literate while using the Washington State Music Learning Standards. Using artistic processes, our students develop skills to think creatively through the complex language and symbol system of music.

Students learn by singing songs, playing instruments and moving to music.  They learn about beat, rhythm, pitch, melody, harmony, texture, timbre, form, expression and theory.  Our students have the opportunity to participate in general music, band, choir, and orchestra.
