General music is offered in every elementary school. Through Orff, Dalcroze, and Kodaly methods of learning music, elementary-age students are introduced to the complex language and symbol system of music by a highly qualified music specialist. Students learn by singing songs, playing percussion instruments, and moving to music.

By upper elementary school, students learn more advanced rhythms, melodies, forms, and theory.  They are also invited to participate in beginning choir, band, and orchestra with opportunities to perform in school programs and district festivals.
