Advisory Committees

Want to join our committee? Click here to fill out our form.

Advisory Committees consist of business, labor, industry, education, parent, and student representatives who provide support and guidance for Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs in the Bethel School District.

Program Advisory Committees oversee specific program areas, and provide valuable assistance to individual programs for curriculum development, student and teacher internship opportunities, guest speakers, and overall program evaluation. These committees meet 2-3 times a year on average to evaluate new curriculum materials, review classroom equipment, and discuss how teachers and business partners can work together to help our students become valuable future employees.

The General Advisory Council consists of representatives from each Program Advisory Committee as well as parent, community, education, and student volunteers. The Council serves as an advisory group to the overall scope of Career and Technical Education in the district, and provides guidance for CTE at the district and state level.

Meeting agendas and minutes will be provided below as they are available. For more information about how to become involved in a CTE Program Advisory Committee or the CTE General Advisory Council, contact Diane Carver, Assistant Director, Career and Technical Education by email or call (253) 683-6909.
