Summer Learning

Just because school is out for the summer does not mean that students should stop their learning. Studies show that students perform lower on standardized tests when they are not engaged in learning over the summer months.

The Bethel School District offers a variety of summer learning opportunities to help combat this issue, as well as offer the option to obtain school credits for high schoolers, including:

  • summer reading and exercise program for students leaving grades 4 through 6
  • summer reading lists to students going into grades 7 through 12
  • summer math exercises for students going into Math 70, Pre-Algebra and Algebra
  • classes at the Pierce County Skills Center for students entering grades 9 through 12
