To help promote year-round learning and higher academic achievement for students, all junior high schools, along with Bethel, Graham-Kapowsin and Spanaway Lake high schools are required to read a book this summer that has been specifically selected for his or her grade level.

The summer reading books for summer 2012 will be posted as they become available.

Books will be available to purchase at the elementary schools for incoming 7th graders and at the junior high schools for incoming 8th and 9th graders. The Pierce County Libraries, Borders and Barnes & Noble have been contacted to stock additional titles.
