Principal's Message

We are one week away from starting our SBA testing in Math and ELA and 8th grade Science.  Please ensure your child gets plenty of sleep and eats breakfast every morning.  We have our SBA Kick-Off Assembly this week getting students excited about working hard and persevering during the SBA testing.  We will be giving away prizes/awards for students who work hard and show growth on the SBA.  We have different incentives planned during the testing as well as afterwards.  Please talk to your child about the importance of taking the tests seriously and working hard.  How students perform on the SBA will affect class placement next year.
Clothing Drive:  We are having a clothing drive until April 30th.  We are looking for young adult, juniors, and kids sizes.  Shirts, pants, undergarments, socks, gloves, etc.  Please do not bring any clothes with holes or used undergarments.  All clothing will be collected in the library.
Family Survey:  We are asking all families to take this survey between now and May 25th.  The survey link is bethelsdfamily18.ytsurvey.org
    Please note:
    • The survey needs to be completed in one sitting.
    • We ask that one member of each household fill out the survey.
    • If you have more than one child who attends the same school, you may respond to the survey multiple times - one time per child.
    • If you write any comments, please don’t include your name or anything else that might identify you. Your responses are anonymous, and they will be combined with the responses of other parents and guardians before being shared back with school and district leadership.
Save the Date:   Our Student Led Conference late night is WEDNESDAY, MAY 23rd
Heritage Night:  Our 1st Annual Heritage Night is May 31st starting at 6pm.  We will have food trucks and performances.  Our 8th graders will also be displaying their projects.
