Our scholars are working hard to be ready to share goals set and met, the work they are proudest of, and the impact they have made on Cougar Mountain this year. We look forward to seeing all of our families May 21 - 23 to share in this look back (and look forward) with you!

Principal's Message

  • COUGAR MOUNTAIN FAMILIES             5/20-5/24

Today we finished our final day of testing!  Students who have not completed all tests will be making those tests up this week.  This week we have our student-led conferences, you should have received a post card in the mail confirming the day and time of the conference.  Our students have been working hard and are ready to present their conference to their parents/guardians this week.

CMMS FAMILY SURVEY:  During conferences you will be asked to complete our FAMILY YOUTH TRUTH SURVEY (you can also complete the survey clicking on this link).  We appreciate your feedback and opinions and look forward to working with you to continue to improve our teaching and learning for all students here at CMMS.

HERITAGE NIGHT:  Please join us May 30th from 6pm-8pm for our Heritage Night.  We will have food trucks, cultural performances and students will displaying their cultural projects.  This is a great community event.

ANY SIZE BOTTLE CAPS NEEDED:  Do you have any extra bottle caps?  Science club and Art Club are collaborating to make an art project with recycled bottle caps.  If you have any extra pop or water bottle caps please send them into school with your child, we will take all that we can get.

If you've been paying attention to the news over the past week or so, you may have heard that our state is doing away with standardized tests for graduation. While that might make for a splashy headline, the full truth is a bit more complicated. Rather than doing away with standardized graduation tests altogether, House Bill 1599 – which Gov. Jay Inslee recently signed into law – gives students more options for meeting graduation requirements. Read more:
