PRINCIPAL'S NEWS~KAY GALLO
Hello Naches Trail Families,
Welcome to a new school year. I hope you have all enjoyed a beautiful summer. They seem to go very fast but I am glad the sunshine finally arrived!
We are very excited to get the school year rolling and we look forward to seeing our students return. We will have an informal open house for students and parents to visit the building to meet their teachers, and see their classrooms and friends Thursday, September 1st from 5:00 pm-6:00 pm. Stop by during that time if you are able.
Our PTA will also be there to give you information on how you can support our school.
We have a full staff ready to go and many new staff members to introduce you to. First and foremost, I have a new assistant principal, Alexander (Bucky) Brenner. He has been in Bethel School District but is new to Naches Trail and we have been working together all summer. Bucky brings energy to each day and I know our students will enjoy him. We also have many amazing new staff members that are excited and ready to be on the Trail.

We encourage students to ride the bus to and from school. If you do drive your student, our drop-off time is 8:25. We do not have supervision for students before that time and parents must wait with their students in their car until 8:25. Dismissal is at 3:05. More information about drop-off/pick-up procedures will be coming to you soon.
Please be aware, that we do have construction going on, and Waller Road is a bustling area. Your safety is our biggest priority and we will make adjustments as necessary for drop-off/pick-up traffic, but please take extreme caution in that area.
Class assignments will be on ParentVue starting August 23rd. Information about breakfast and lunch prices will also be out soon. Students do not need to worry about school supplies. We provide most of the needed items and teachers may ask for donations or specific items in September.
I look forward to seeing our beautiful children soon and creating a wonderful year of learning!
~Sincerely, Kay Gallo Naches Trail Principal
ASST. PRINCIPAL~BUCKY BRENNER
Hello Naches Trail Families,
My name is Alexander “Bucky” Brenner, and please call me Bucky or Mr. Brenner. I am happy to be here at The Trail and look forward to working with your children. First, a brief background about me. I was born in Eugene, OR. I am a huge Ducks fan, sorry Dawgs, and Cougs. I moved to Lakewood, WA, in 6th grade and attended school in the Clover Park School district, and graduated from Clover Park High School in 2003. I attended The University of Puget Sound, where I played football for four years and graduated with a degree in Sociology and Business. After graduating, I worked all sorts of jobs; I was a Parole Officer, an Insurance salesman, a janitor, an enterprise rental rep, and many others. I coached football at both the collegiate and high school levels. I then worked as a paraprofessional in the Tacoma school district and became a teacher. I taught for eight years in the Clover Park school district, mainly in the fourth and fifth grades. Last year I was the Assistant Principal at Thompson Elementary in the Bethel school district. I currently live in Tacoma with my wife and two children.
I look forward to getting to know you and your children better this year.
