Principal's Message

    Building entry:

    To stay in compliance with Covid safety guidelines, we will be limiting access into the building and will help you through the window inside the foyer.  Please only plan to come into the school if absolutely necessary as you may find yourself waiting outside for our assistance.  Additionally, during this time visitors or volunteers are not allowed on campus.  If you need to make an appointment with a teacher, please email the teacher directly.

    Students must have mask in place before entering the bus or if dropped off, before exiting their vehicle.

    If your child is not riding the bus:

    Students may be dropped off and picked up in the front of the school.  With our new bus loop off of 152nd Street, we now will have parents drive through the area that previously was used for buses.  Please proceed as directed upon arrival so that we can keep as many cars as possible in the parking lot and out of the street.  Students will not be allowed to enter the front of the building, but will be sent around to the playshed to meet with their teacher.  As was implemented last year, we are working towards placards for those who regularly pickup.  All parents will be required to stay in their car in the pick-up line.  Please be patient as we will be dismissing student by classrooms to limit the number of students waiting in the areas. 

    End of day:

    It is very important that we know your child's transportation after school so that we know whether to put them on the bus or bring them out front.  Please complete this linked form indicating your plans for transporting your student on a daily basis.  If your regular end-of-day procedure needs to change, either for a day or long term, please call the front office no later than 2:30.  This deadline allows the front office time to make the classrooms aware of the change.



Family Expectations for Hybrid

  • The following is a checklist of things you can do to support your child on hybrid days:

     ❏    Ensure that your child comes with:

    • Fully charged ipad (pro tip: charge at night)
    • Face mask:
      • The face mask must fit your child
      • The face mask must cover your child’s nose and mouth at all times
      • The face mask CANNOT be a neck gaiter or bandana
    • A reusable water bottle (our drinking fountains are closed)
    • Lunch (optional--will be provided at school as well)
    • Hand sanitizer if possible
    • Minimal school supplies (your child’s teacher will provide most supplies):
      • Pencil and eraser
      • iPad charger
      • A portable battery pack for iPad (optional)
      • Headphone (optional)
      • Stylus (optional)
      • Hand sanitizer (optional)

     ❏    Do not send your student to school if they are showing any of the symptoms of COVID-19. If your child is showing any of the symptoms listed below please notify the health clerk at (253) 800-8793.

    • Fever or chills (100.4°)
    • Cough
    • Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
    • Fatigue
    • Muscle or body aches
    • Headache
    • New loss of taste or smell
    • Sore throat
    • Congestion or runny nose
    • Nausea or vomiting
    • Diarrhea

     ❏    Fill out the attestation form (located on ParentVue) before school on Monday morning.  If it is not completed, your child will not be able to start class on time.
