  • Volunteer for Special Olympics, TEALS

Do you know anyone in the fields of computer software or software engineering who would be willing volunteer their time to help build a computer science program at Bethel High? TEALS (Technology Education and Literacy in Schools) is a program that recruits, mentors, and places passionate high tech professionals into high school classes as volunteer instructors and teaching assistants.

  • Happy Holidays!

I hope you all found time to connect with your family and friends this holiday season. I enjoy seeing the strength of our community during the holidays as we fulfill our Mitten Tree requests and have families go above and beyond to ensure others who may not have returned a form get last minute support as needed.  Thank you to everyone who teamed up to meet the needs of this annual PTA event!

    So Proud of Our Students

Prior to break Ms. Cox shared with me that our winter concert was an amazing night of wonderful musical performances. I was disappointed to have missed the event as I had a Santa Social at my son’s preschool that same evening.  I was able to stop by Choir and 3rd grade classes for a preview earlier in the week and was very impressed with what I heard. The vocal talents of our kids, under the direction of Mr. Schuler, is something all can be proud of. I look forward to seeing everyone at our next student performances at the Band and Orchestra Demonstration Concert on January 15th at 7pm.

    Staffing Update

As can be the case with administration you often are not aware of when your time within a certain building will be cut short due to a need elsewhere.  Ms. Cox, our Associate Administrator, has moved to Nelson Elementary effective when we return from break. We appreciate the strengths and passion she brought with her during her short time at Roy.  We know the Navigators will enjoy her just as much as we did. Best wishes Ms. Cox!

With someone leaving that also means we welcome a new face to the Mustang Family.  Please join me in welcoming Mr. Evan Larsen.  He joins us from Nelson Elementary and has spent many years within the Bethel School District.  We look forward to having him share his many talents with our team as we work together to support of our students.
