Welcome back to the 2022-23 school year Mustang Families!

I hope you and your family have had a great summer and found time to enjoy special activities together. As principal of Roy Elementary my favorite day of the school year will soon be upon us. There is nothing better than that first day when our students and families come to school.

I love watching the interactions between our students and their new teachers as they begin the new year and a fresh start with the adults that believe in them and new friends and learning adventures ahead.

As a building, we feel it's important that we have open communication throughout the school year so that we are able to partner with families to meet the needs of our students and their families and provide services that are needed in our community such as the Community Health Fair we recently hosted.

It is also important to us that we ensure our students feel safe at school. If you ever have a concern about something or a question specific to a situation or procedure please do not hesitate to call or email me. Communication is paramount in a school. For this reason, I encourage you to contact your child's teacher, my office staff, or myself with questions.

Each school year brings the opportunity to welcome new staff to the building. We are excited to welcome the following members to our team:

4th grade - Taylor Newton, Katie Franklin

Music - Kyle Housden

Resource Room - Hale Adams, Michaele Maybe

Title/LAP - Kim Vesely

Our first K-5 family event will be our In Person Open House on Thursday, September 1st from 4:30-6:30. This is a great opportunity for you and your family to meet your child's teacher and the rest of our staff. If your family is unable to attend know that the materials will be handed out on the first day of school to your child.
