Bethel High School is a great school. I may be a little biased as principal, but our data supports my claim—we are a Washington State School of Distinction, our assessment scores are some of the best in the district, and our graduation rate exceeds the Washington State average by nearly 10%. As a school, we offer meaningful learning, engaging clubs and activities, and competitive athletics. Being a Brave isn’t just a mascot for the school, it is a state of mind of our staff, our students, our families, and our community. Being Brave in the classroom and outside of the school is a characteristic we teach and value. Our climate and culture at Bethel High School is one of positive support and specific expectations. Additional, and more importantly, we have high expectations for learning at BHS. Our teachers use effective strategies to engage students in meaningful and relevant learning each and every day. We have the highest expectations for our students in the classroom.
We also value our community and stakeholders. We cannot do this work with students alone. Our connections to our alumni, parents, and community is a strength of our history, our present, and our future at BHS. Our doors are always open to the BHS community. We value those relationships.
