    bus Bus Transportation 

    • Bus Routes - assignments will be mailed to families in August 
    • New to the district? Just starting school? The Bethel Transportation Department will host an Open House to help relieve those “before school jitters.” The event is Aug. 25 from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Transportation Center, located at 5625 192nd St. E. in Puyallup (the intersection of Canyon Road and 192nd St.).  During the Open House, you can meet staff, take a bus ride and check bus schedules. Refreshments will also be served. For more details,  call 253.683.5900.

    New Student Registration 

    • Enrollment Requirements
    • New Student Registration for ALL schools will be accepted July 5 through Aug. 18 at Cedarcrest Middle School.  A birth certificate, immunization records, and proof of residency are required to register. Students must be 5 years old by August 31, 2016 to enroll in kindergarten. Previous test scores and a report card are required for grades 6-12. July dates/hours: Tuesdays (11 a.m. - 6:45 p.m.) and Thursdays (8 a.m. - 3:45 p.m.). August hours: Mondays (8 a.m. - 3:45 p.m.), Tuesdays and Thursdays (11 a.m. - 6:45 p.m.).


    soccer ball Sports Tryouts & Registration

    The 2016/17 athletic registration forms are now available for grades 7 through 12.  Parents can access the forms by logging into their Family Access accounts.  A parent user name and password are required.  Once inside the Family Access portal, click on ‘District Links’ in the top right corner, then choose the 2016/17 Athletic Forms for the school your child attends.  Schools will be indicated by the following abbreviations:  BHS, BMS, CMS, CMMS, GKHS, FMS, LMS, SLHS, and SMS.  If you have questions, please contact the building Athletic Director at your child’s school.  

    • Please note: To save time, families can now register for all sports seasons (fall, winter and spring) at the same time. Just select the appropriate forms in Family Access.

    To participate, students must have the following completed before tryouts:

    • Physical form, signed by a physician good for 13 months from the date of the exam.  The physical must be good for the entire sports season.
    • Extracurricular signature approval form, complete with proof of medical insurance information.  Student accident insurance is also available through the district.
    • Emergency medical treatment authorization card.  This includes athlete vital health information, emergency contacts, and gives permission for staff to seek medical attention for participating students.
    • Sports specific warning and safety guideline forms.  These must be read and signed by parents/guardians. 
    • Concussion and head injury form - must be completed by state law.

    Tryout Dates

    The following is a list of fall sports  tryout dates for high school and middle school students. Please check your school website for exact locations and times. Actual practice schedules will be distributed by coaches during the sports season.

    • Aug. 17, 2015: HS Football
    • Aug. 22, 2015: HS Fall Sports (Boys Tennis, Girls Volleyball, Girls Soccer, Girls Swimming, Cross Country, Golf)
    • Sept. 6, 2015: MS Baseball, Fastpitch, Track & Field
