What is Transition Lab?

  • The Transition Lab Program is for special education students between the ages of 18-21 years old. The purpose of this program is to assist students toward independence in independent living, community participation and future employment. This is a program that is offered to students that the IEP team have recommended the need for continued supports towards their transition plan.

    • Bus Transportation:  Door to door bus service is provided to all students. If you need to find out pick up or drop off times contact transportation at:  253-683-5900.  


    • School Hours:  The school day begins at 7:35 a.m. and ends at 2:05 p.m.


    • School Lunches:  Free & Reduced Lunch Applications are on Bethel School District Home Page ( by going to Programs & Department-Child Nutrition-Free & Reduced Meal Application. Without a Free & Reduce application, school lunches are $3.25. Lunches include: an entrée, fruit, vegetable, chips, dessert and beverage. Microwaves are available for all students to heat their lunches.


    • Student Absences:  Remember to continue to call your student’s home school to excuse student absences. High Schools and attendance office phone numbers are listed below:

    Dress Code:  Black slacks, jeans or dockers; a black or tan polo, and skid resistant work shoes are worn Monday-Friday.  

    Monthly Parent meeting- Nov 14th (DDA night), Dec. 12, Jan 8, 15, 22 (Start Now Training by PAVE), Feb. 27 (Transition Fair), March 12, April 9, May 7.
