About the Superintendent

Dr. Brian Lowney is serving as Interim Superintendent for Bethel Schools for the 2024-2025 school year. This is his 29th year in public education.  During this time he has served as a teacher, coach, assistant principal, principal, Chief Academic Officer, Executive Director of Special Services, and most recently as Assistant Superintendent of Secondary Schools in Bethel.

In addition to his enormous passion for serving the students, families and staff in our community, Dr. Lowney is proud to be the husband of Christel (an amazing mom and second grade teacher) and dad to two children, Colin (University of Washington graduate) and Callie (senior at the University of Washington).  Go Huskies!
