The 2017-2018 School Year Kicks Off

    -- Adam Cox, BHS Principal

The summer is drawing to a quick end, and I hope all of you found time to enjoy the summer break.  On September 7th, we are back to doing what we do best--making BHS the best high school is the state of Washington!  Over the last 2-1/2 months, I've had the chance to reflect on the 2016-2017 school year and I am excited for what is to come this year.  Last year, we improved substantially in ELA and Math, and we are waiting to hear about our much anticipated graduation rate.  While most schools prepare to start over again each Fall, BHS will be moving forward with the momentum we gained last year.  It is our continuing good work as a staff and as students that will push us forward.

There are a lot of great events coming up this year.  Please continue to check our webpage for announcements of events to come.  Incoming Freshman, don't forgot about our LINK day on August 30th.  On August 31st, we will host our Brave Beginnings--an opportunity to get your school photos taken and pick up your ipad.  And on the first day of school, we will meet in Art Crate Stadium at the end of the day to celebrate our Fall sports with a pep rally followed by a home volleyball and home football game doubleheader.

This is an exciting time, and we can't wait to see you on September 7th!
