Did you know? Bethel is one 14 school districts in Washington and 547 in the nation to make the College Board’s annual AP® District Honor Roll list. This award recognizes districts that have increased student access to Advanced Placement (AP) classes while also maintaining or improving the percentage of students who pass the exams. In 2014, 1,079 AP tests were given in Bethel, compared to just 905 in 2012. The number of classes has also increased.
Research shows students who enroll in these rigorous and challenging courses are more likely to succeed in college and graduate on time. Those who do well on the exams can save money by earning college credit. AP classes also help students stand out in the highly competitive college admissions process and in the awarding of merit-based scholarships.
