Bethel’s forward-focused mission of preparation through the development of character and intellect applies to even our youngest students. Our dual commitment to academic and social curricula puts students at the center of their learning, teaching them in developmentally appropriate ways to make choices, manage time, and think critically and creatively. In all of our endeavors, we strive to foster a joy in learning and greater understanding of the importance of being a significant member of a community.
To guide this mission, the district is committed to providing a series of Support Services, which are targeted specifically to help meet the needs of every child. We offer Title I and Learning Assistance Program (LAP) services to provide extra support in reading, math, and behavior. Across the district, the Native American Education Program and Family Support Specialists are giving students and their families greater opportunities for success.
Program Goals
- At-risk students are provided with additional support and instruction using research-based interventions.
- Provide empowering opportunities for parents and families to support their children's educational progress from preschool to twelfth grade.
- Regularly communicate with parents regarding student progress.
- Facilitate a smooth transition process between school levels, including support for the process of meeting high school graduation requirements.
