• Meet the Administrators at Rocky Ridge Elementary!

  • PRINCIPAL

    Lindsey M. Marquardt
Lindsey Marquardt joined the Rocky Ridge Family in 2015, and has a unique professional background, in that she has worked with students and staffs from preschools to high schools.

Lindsey began her career in education as a para-professional in a Special Education classroom, while pursuing her Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education. After earning her degree, she taught math and science at Illahee Middle School in Federal Way, which taught her the value of diversity, and shaped her belief that all students can learn when provided with the right supports. After her time as a teacher, she became a Teacher on Special Assignment (TOSA) at the Federal Way district office. In this role, she supported 37 schools with instruction, and supported teachers and administrators during transition to the Common Core Standards. After earning her Master's Degree in Educational Leadership, she was hired as an Assistant Principal at Bethel High School, where she worked with seniors, ensuring that they did everything possible to get them to graduation. "This work opened my eyes to the necessity of a strong foundation of literacy in the core subjects, and a love for the arts and learning."

Since becoming Principal of Rocky Ridge Elementary in 2015, she has made many changes to our school, both aesthetic and academic, and has implemented systems that have resulted in tremendous growth. Ask her about our multi-tiered systems of support for both academics and social-emotional learning. Through PBIS (Positive Behavior Intervention and Supports) and an academic intervention called W.I.N. (What I Need), Rocky Ridge is a school on the rise!
