    Greetings PCSC Students & Families:

Many of you have already received information from your school district regarding the decision to postpone regular in-person instruction at the start of the 2020-2021 school year. Today, Dr. Anthony Chen, the Director of the Tacoma-Pierce County Health Department, sent all superintendents in Pierce County a letter advising against a return to onsite instruction in the fall.

The Pierce County Skills Center will also return to school via 100% online learning in order to ensure the health and safety of students, staff and families.

Our teachers have already been preparing to provide their programs remotely. We understand you have many questions and we hope to be providing you with more specific details in the coming weeks. I encourage you to email me your questions as this will help us build a comprehensive FAQ page for our website for others to access.

As you are aware, the situation can and will change, and we are working to ensure that students will have the most rigorous, equitable education possible, no matter the circumstances.

    Thank You,
    Michelle Ledbetter
    Director, Pierce County Skills Center
