    Bllod drive

Pre-physical therapy and sports medicine teacher Phil Cappetto donates blood Thursday outside the Pierce County Skills Center. Students and faculty at the Pierce County Skills Center took a break from summer school on Thursday to give back to their community by donating blood. Erin Howatt with Cascade Regional Blood Services said she was expecting roughly 25 volunteers on Thursday and was pleasantly surprised when 35 people gave blood. Cascade Regional brings its “blood mobile” to the skills center three times a year, and Howatt said PCSC students and educators always step up and help out.
