Vision & Goals

Every Multilingual Learner (ML) in the Bethel School District will thrive academically and socially in a supportive and safe learning environment. Their linguistic and cultural diversity are valued and respected so they graduate as prepared global-minded citizens. Our Goals:

• To nurture self-pride and self-identity in each student’s linguistic and cultural heritage

• To reach a level of proficiency in listening, reading, speaking and writing as outlined in the Washington WIDA Framework  

• To provide high-quality and ongoing support to advance quality teaching for ML’s

• Align policies, structures, and practices across schools and departments for equitable learning opportunities for ML’s
