Bethel Acceleration Academy
The Bethel School District, in partnership with Acceleration Academies, now offers a free, innovative and engaging opportunity to qualifying former students who still want a chance to earn their high school diploma. The Bethel Acceleration Academy provides academic and support services to students either at-risk of not earning a high school diploma or wishing to return to school after a gap in their education.
Located on the corner of 163rd and Pacific Ave. S in Spanaway, the Acceleration Academy is conveniently located near a bus stop for easy access to students and is open on Monday from 9:00am to 5:00pm, Tuesday-Thursday from 8:00am to 6:00pm and Friday from 9:00am to 3:00pm to accommodate students’ busy schedules. It is ideal for students who’ve become disengaged or have to work to support themselves or their family. The Bethel Acceleration Academy understands that students, who they refer to as Graduation Candidates, have other responsibilities that can make obtaining a high school diploma appear impossible.
Graduation Candidates (GCs) are supported in every way, with access to highly qualified teachers and paraprofessionals, as well as Life and Career Coaches. At Bethel Acceleration Academy, GCs work in collaboration with peers, one-on-one with Content Coaches, or individually. The Bethel Acceleration Academy utilizes the most engaging blended instruction and technology enhanced content available rather than traditional instructional models.
Eligible students who are at least 16 years of age, but not older than 21 by September 1st are encouraged to apply.
The Bethel Acceleration Academy offers a traditional high school diploma and opportunities for career credentials. Enrollment is open now.
