The students and staff of Spanaway Lake High School will be doing a Day of Service in our community on Saturday April 27, 2019. The idea behind the day of service is to help our students learn about their communities, and lend a hand to those in need. We are currently looking for service projects for our school to volunteer with. If you or someone you know has a project that we could help with or complete, please visit our school website to submit ideas and to sign-up.
This year will be our 2nd time participating in the District-Wide YouthTruth survey. The end goal is to utilize the feedback from the survey to initiate and engage in improvement at Spanaway Lake. This survey is completely anonymous.
Parents, we need your valuable feedback. Parents can access the link to the survey on any device at: ytsurvey.org/bsdfamily19. The survey window will be open from March 18-May 31. Students will take the survey in their advisory classes on May 1st. Students need to be in attendance on this day and bring their iPads. Students are asked for feedback on the following: Engagement, Rigor, Relationships, Belonging and Peer Collaboration, Culture, College and Career Readiness, Safety, and Motivation.
