  • Graduating Senior and Parent Meetings: March 20th, 4:00 and 5:00 pm

    If you are planning on graduating this June please attend a Senior Parent Meeting on Wednesday, March 20th at 4:00 or 5:00 pm at Challenger. 


    We will be discussing the following things at the meeting: 

    • Graduation timelines, information and details 

    • Graduation expecations 

    • Cap and gown ordering informatioin 

    • Financial Aid and Scholarship Opportunities 

    Graduating seniors and their parents are highly encouraged to attended one of these meetings! We hope to see you then and there!

  • March News for Challenger High School

    The Bond Passed!

    The Bethel School District building bond passed with a 66% YES vote! Thank you to all of you who voted for this important measure! An all new Challenger High School will be built and a total campus redesign will happen in the coming years. This is very exciting news for the students and staff here at CHS! Thank you!

    Graduating Senior Parent Night

    If you are a senior and planning on graduating this spring, please plan to attend an informational meeting on Wednesday, March 20th at 4:00 or 5:00 pm at Challenger High School. We will be providing information about the following things: graduation timelines, details and expectations, cap and gown orders, financial aid and scholarship opportunities. All graduating seniors and their parents/guardians are strongly encouraged to attend. Please mark your calendars now and plan to attend one of these meetings.

    Tutoring Opportunities

    Tutoring for ELA and Math is now available for students who need extra help and support in their classes. Tutoring is available every morning between 7:00 - 7:55 AM in classroom A in the Bethel Family Center. ELA and Math teachers are available in the afternoons on Tuesdays and Thursdays between 2:30 - 4:00 pm and there is an activity bus available to take students home if they live in the Spanaway Lake High School service area. All students are welcome to attend tutoring sessions--we hope to see you there!

    Picture Re-takes

    If you have not had your picture taken yet this year, or would like to re-take your picture, you will have the opportunity on March 1st in the Bethel Family Center, Classroom “C”. Picture packets are available in the main office.

    Late Arrival: March 6th

    Wednesday, March 6th is a Late Arrival day in the Bethel School District. We will not have busing or scheduled classes at Challenger on this day. Teachers will be available for Open Labs from 11:30 - 2:30 pm if students can get themselves to campus. If students cannot get to campus they are encouraged to work on homework and online assignments through their teachers’ Canvas courses.

    Blood Drive: March 7th

    Challenger will be hosting a blood drive on Thursday, March 7th. Students under 18 can get a permission slip from their advisor and  they can be found in the main office and the Family Center. Students that sign-up to donate can get a breakfast sandwich before AM session or Pizza before PM session in addition to a FREE T-Shirt and snacks when they donate!
    1 hour of community service will be earned for attempting to donate!

    Are you interested in learning a trade & earning 4.5 additional high school credits next year?
    You can attend the Skills Center & CHS if you are 11th or 12th grader (next year) and have earned 10 or more credits so far. 2019-2020 Applications are now available online: Turn in your application to Alison Von Stein or
