BSD Foundation seeks Board of Directors

The Bethel School District Foundation is looking for people to serve on its Board of Directors. The all-volunteer, non-profit organization offers scholarships, educator grants, and other programs and services that support the arts, academics and athletics in our local schools. The Board’s ultimate goal is to ensure every child’s success, both in school and beyond.

To that end, the Foundation is committed to developing strong community partnerships like the one that they currently share with Boeing.

“Thanks to the Bethel School District Foundation, Boeing has committed $5,000 for ABC Day for each of the past three years. Now, we are looking for new board members to help expand opportunities and bring even more resources to our community to support our local schools,” said Foundation co-president Jay Brower.

The Foundation specifically wants parents, alumni, business partners and community members who love and understand the needs of our Bethel community, and who have a deep appreciation for the arts, academics and athletics in education. For more information about the Board and to apply, click here.

Each year, BSDF provides educator grants for a variety of creative and innovative educational programs that support students and teachers in the Bethel School District. The Foundation is working towards establishing an endowment to provide scholarships and additional opportunities and programs that support local youth.

As a member of the Greater Tacoma Community Foundation, all donations are tax deductible and contributors can specify the services or program for which their donations should be used. To donate, please click here.
