GKHS Eagles take Vegas by storm!

When the Graham-Kapowsin Eagles football team was invited to Las Vegas last month to compete in the GEICO State Champions Bowl, the team understood they were the underdogs. After all, they were squaring off against Collins Hill, the third ranked high school team in the country. Loaded with talent and blue chip recruits, Collins Hill was fresh off an undefeated season that included winning the Georgia State Championship.
The Eagles had just capped off their own historic season, which also included a State Championship, but few in the media gave GK much of a shot at winning. Perhaps the only people who expected the Eagles to prevail were the GK coaches and players who took the field.
So what happened when the talking stopped and the two teams finally met on the gridiron? Click here to find out.
