Posted by CMS on 12/3/2018

Dear Parents/Guardians of Cedarcrest Students,

The week of December 12-14 we will be having spirit days honoring our Winter 1 Sports. Students will be able to wear clothes fitting the theme of the day instead of the usual Cedarcrest dress code. If students choose not to wear clothes fitting the theme, we expect they come dressed in the usual Cedarcrest attire.

Wednesday, December 12th: “College Gear” Day
Thursday, December 13th: Formal Day
Friday, December 14th: Sports Day

Acceptable wear:

● On Wednesday- Clothing that represents a specific college (i.e. school colors
or specific gear)

● On Thursday- Clothing that represents formal or fancy (i.e. a dress WITH
straps or a suit with a tie...shoulders must be covered - see guidelines below)

● On Friday- Clothing that represents a specific sports team

● Dresses or skirts no shorter than 3” above the knee
● Suits
● Shirts (with or without ties) including t-shirts
● Blouses, Sweaters, and Vests
● Shorts and Bermuda shorts no shorter than 3” above the knee
● Any color/print/pattern combination that represents the spirit days

Unacceptable wear:
● Short shorts more than 3” above the knee
● Short dresses/skirts/tutus more than 3” above the knee
● Excessively tight shirts, shorts, skirts, dresses, leggings or pants
● Clothing with any kind of holes, including no shirts with shoulder cut-outs

● Nightgowns, robes, slippers
● Spaghetti straps and tank tops
● Strapless dresses

If students show up to school dressed in clothes that are not appropriate, they will be asked to change into loaner clothes or a parent will be called to bring in acceptable clothes.
